SCARS OF FAITH (2)

A scar is a mark left on the skin by the healing of injured tissues. Every faithful servant of God in any dispensation has a mark to show for his consecration unto the Lord.

Abraham, an idol worshipper from an unknown village, a nobody, God introduces himself to him. He just believed God.

I strongly believe God moved in his heart to believe, and he yielded. Almighty God told him about his plan and purpose for his life, Abraham excitedly followed. He lived a nomadic lifestyle, not without its challenges but God fought for him.

Abraham and wife Sarah spread the frangrance of Jehovah everywhere they went. Abraham was too blessed with every blessings you can imagine. He owned an army that fought to rescue; his nephew Lot when he was captured in the battle of the kings who made war with the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah

His SCARS……Abraham had no child of his own, he waited for twenty-five years to see his own flesh and blood, a painful, hard wait. He had his moments of doubts but God kept reassuring him, he even missed it but God’s will must be done.

Isaac his son arrives, the man is a hundred years old, what joy, yet God was not satisfied with the level of their relationship, as they continued in fellowship God demands Isaac his son, his joy, Isaac his laughter. Sacrifice Isaac as a burnt offering on a Mountain in Moriah

Pained , confused, but he loved the Father too much to deny him anything. He obeyed….

God spares Isaac, Abraham has passed the test. Hmmmmm!! 🤔 But Abraham has a permanent SCAR, that mountain where God spared his son, was Abraham’s GOLGOTHA, he finally lost himself and became all of God and none of himself. Death has taken place!! Love for the Father will cause you to die, to yourself!!
