New Estate Baptist Family Churches Hold AKLS 2022

AKLS 2022

The Annual Kingdom Life Summit (AKLS) of the New Estate Baptist Family Churches will hold in Lagos, Nigeria on Friday 18th -19th February, 2022. The theme for this year’s event is THE NEW DAWN.

The AKLS is hosted by New Estate Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Amos Achi Kunat. It is a yearly convergence of all churches (now fully independent churches) and mission stations founded directly or indirectly by New Estate Baptist Church, Surulere, Lagos, and those founded by those daughter churches years down the line. It is a celebration and yearly re-union of some sorts.

Headline guest speakers at this year’s two days summit are Apostle Joshua Selman and Apostle Elisha Gaiya.

Apostle Joshua Selma Nimmak is a widely travelled televangelist and teacher of the Christian gospel. He is the founder of Eternity Network International (ENI), based in Zaria and Abuja, and the convener of the widely attended and followed Koinonia, a weekly programme where people come to experience worship, word, miracle and love.

Apostle Elisha Gaiya is the President at Elisha Gaiya Ministries. He pioneered and pastored Ogudu GRA Foursquare Gospel Church, Lagos, Nigeria, and later became the Senior Pastor at New Revelation Baptist Church, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

He is President of Sons & Daughters of Fire Network (SDFN) which he founded in June 2017, a World Bank Certified Industrial Project & Investment Analyst, and Founder/Presiding Pastor at The House of Glory in Abuja, Nigeria.

The two preachers would be support by four music ministers drawn from within the member family churches: Oluyinka Iyanda, Tunji Ojo, Rhoda O. Egbeahie, and Tolu Kehinde.

The Convener, Rev. Dr. Gbolagade Omodele (who pastors New Light Baptist Church, Magodo, Lagos) says that the theme, “A New Dawn”, taken from Isaiah 43:18 presents a refreshing breaking promise from God’s Throne of Grace, especially after the recent terrible past and the withering effects occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic, heightened activities of banditry, insurgency, rampage of Fulani herdsmen, and festering acts of kidnapping in Nigeria.

He says that the “LORD our God, who is plenteous in mercy, is giving us a new day, a new beginning, with newness in all ramifications. We must forget the past and look unto Him to restor our losses and bring a new lease of life for us. Isaiah 43: 18-19- “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

biting hard on us, the LORD our God that is plenteous in mercy is giving us cheering news- that a new day, a new beginning with newness in all ramifications, He is giving us. We should forget the past and look unto Him, for He is restoring our losses and bringing a new lease of life for us.  18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

With a shout of joy and gladness, I welcome you to this blessed gathering of the Annual Kingdom Life Summit. This great convocation was last held two years ago. It was due to the unexpected global outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which practically shut down the world for quite some time, greatly affected every facet of living and foisted upon us what we now refer to as the “New Normal”.

The event of the last two years has had profound effects on the economic and social life of the people worldwide, Nigeria inclusive. It took away the normal fellowship of physical gathering together from us and then forced us to be meeting virtually. While grappling with the global pandemic, on the national scene in Nigeria, we are being confronted with the heightened activities of banditry, insurgencies, Fulani herdsmen rampage and kidnapping.

All these have affected our economic, social and religious lives adversely. Many businesses are yet to recover. It brought fears into our hearts by the ways it was affecting our health and many beloved were lost to its effect. Our world was shaken to its root. Human limitations were exposed while God’s supremacy over the affairs of men is again reinforced. To God be the glory for His mercies and goodness to the children of men, for hearkening to prayers and sending help to our world by which we are able to have our lives back, hence the gathering of Annual Kingdom Life Summit this year 2022 , theme: A New Dawn.

The theme for this year’s Annual Kingdom Life Summit as inspired by the Holy Spirit is “A New Dawn”.  The Scripture is taken from Isaiah 43:18. This is a piece of refreshing breaking news from the Throne of Grace.

Having experienced a recent terrible past with the effects biting hard on us, the LORD our God that is plenteous in mercy is giving us cheering news- that a new day, a new beginning with newness in all ramifications, He is giving us.
